Canon AE-1 Program

Well, I came across a nice AE-1 Program, and could not pass it up.  So, I now have a replacement AE-1, camera and two lenses. My first AE-1 was given to a young man who was just getting started in Photography.   The camera operates in three modes:  Shutter Priority - auto aperture, Fully Manual, and Fully Automatic (Program).  This is a manual focus camera, so it has a wonderful split focus viewfinder.  The camera has a hot shoe for flash, but also a PC connection.  This is an old camera, but it is still a joy to use.  One of the interesting uses for this camera is for Macro Photography.  The fully manual type F lenses allow for the use of standard macro expansion rings because of the availability of fully manual aperture controls.

Lenses:

Canon FD 50 mm f1.8 Lens

Canon FD 50 mm f1.4 Lens

Vivitar FD 70-210mm lens

Canon 6D Full Frame Digital Camera

I don’t believe that you go full frame or APS-C, but that both have advantages and disadvantages, so it seems like there is room for both sensors in my collection of equipment.

The Canon 6D is a full size CMOS Sensor camera, with built-in GPS and WiFi connectivity.  The new Canon model includes many cutting edge features at a “reasonable” price.  It produces resolutions to 20.2 megapixels.

Canon 5DS R Full Frame Digital Camera

The Canon 5D S
R is a full size CMOS Sensor camera, with a resolution of 50.6 Megapixels.  The R variant adds a low pass filter cancellation.  Low-pass filter effect cancellation takes full advantage of the 50.6MP sensor, delivering greater detail and even higher resolution images than those of the 5DS.  This filtration in addition to a new fine picture mode, allow for more detail an sharper edges which are especially useful for portrait and landscape photography.   I purchased this camera as a camera body only (as shown), but shares all the lenses listed above for the EOS 6D.
